Vacation Pastels - 1 of 5

We took a week vacation in Black Mountain, NC last week. I usually do pastels on vacations, because they’re quick and they’re more responsive to whatever mood I’m in. They’re also usually lighthearted, and that goes with vacation, too.

This first one is called “The Storm.” Since I was a child I have usually felt a wild thrill about approaching storms. There is some crazy in the edge.
