The Gardening Clock

My sweetheart spends a lot of time gardening, and often needs to know what time it is while outside. She doesn’t wear a watch while doing that kind of work, so she wanted something we could hang in the garage, where all the gardening tools and supplies are.

This bear was one of a half dozen potential designs (see previous post). I mounted the sketch directly to plywood, painted all exposed wood white, and added the clock kit. It’s about a foot tall. When I drew this one I had a feeling it was the one she would choose…

The photo doesn’t capture the color well - this bear is the color of old fashioned red pencil (like teachers and editors used to use).
