The American Dream in the Time of COVID 19

The image below was where I thought it stopped, but living with it longer, I realized that the lower left was where the other story needed to be shown. Covid has been taking lives all year, but especially this fall and winter of 2020. And it takes them two ways - literally, and by destroying or wiping out what people have worked for. Where the literal lives are concerned, I feel like our species’ impatience and lack of discipline, particularly here in America, has led to more people being pushed over the edge. We could have done better on both the human and economic fronts.

This started out to be something else entirely. Then it turned darker and I let it. So aware in our isolation how many others are losing what they have in the gradual landslide in the economy.
