Under the Lotus Lights

This fairly large piece was done all one Sunday afternoon in July.  That doesn't happen very often - the path is seldom that clear at the same time I have that much time all in one chunk.  Laura and I had been to Duke Gardens, possibly the day before, and the lotus blossoms and their wonderful seed heads were apparently wandering around inside me, looking for a way out.
