Entropy - Art Studio Manifestation
Here is a definition of entropy:
PHYSICS
a thermodynamic quantity representing the unavailability of a system's thermal energy for conversion into mechanical work, often interpreted as the degree of disorder or randomness in the system.
In the art studio this manifests as the inevitable covering of all surfaces useful for work. Tools, inspiration, detritus, and raw materials move towards the highest possible degree of disorder or randomness, eventually sapping all energy that could be converted into art work.
Time to recharge the studio battery by clearing this up.
As horrifying as it is to contemplate, I wonder if famous artists have had a burst of new activity and breakthroughs after losing their studio (and all its contents). I’ll put that question on my research list - one of those loose scraps of paper in the photo above…
