Tree of Sharks
I honestly don’t recall how this one started. It just became. Watercolor and colored pencils, some day-glow (though you can’t really see that in this photo - the camera never does the neon orange and neon pink highlights justice). 18 x 24 inches on Arches 140 lb hot press paper. The pollarded willow animals at the bottom are modeled after Oaxacan animals. They are closer to the child I used to be, and I am humbly learning from their examples. I also discovered that I love to draw hammerhead sharks…
