NC Transportation Museum Drawings - Part 2

The challenge on this one was the particular funky “face” of the Divco milk truck. Like the 1955 fire engine (see previous post), I loved the shapes, and I spent nearly an hour drawing, and erasing, and drawing and erasing, until I got the likeness I wanted. There was no sign or label in the area for me to identify the beautiful, tall, wooden bodied Ford that is in the background in this drawing. It’s from the era of hand cranking to start the engine.

(I’m confident Google would have found it for me 10 years ago, but it has become so hopelessly commercial that the search algorithm ignores most attempts at fine tuning, and all that enormous catalog of the entire Internet is no longer accessible.)
