Owls

This painting took many forms and was painted over gradually several times before the owls showed up. I will show some of the earlier incarnations, below - in reverse order (going back to the beginning). I think it’s helpful for others, and for me, to see how a painting can take a long road to find itself.

This was the point where I noticed that I had accidentally ended up with a message to me about turning 60. I had been struggling with it a bit prior to this - oddly I have mostly felt at peace with it since this.
